Amazon has the facilities to ship your books out almost immediately, they can gift wrap them and they have book rates for shipping, something we, as an occasional book seller don't have. If you are in the Niagara Peninsula and would like some of these books we have most of them in-stock, many signed by the artists, as well as some out-of-stock books. We are less expensive for out-of-stock books (if we have them). For those of you in the states or farther Amazon is faster, though about the same price taking into account the difference in the dollar. |

The Forest Has Eyes by Bev Doolittle (Illustrator), Elise MacLay Reading level: Ages 4-8 Hardcover - 32 pages (October 1998) |
The Forest Has Eyes is a picture book for children, featuring
twelve of Bev Doolittle's most popular camouflage and Native American animal-spirit
paintings. The text by Elise Maclay invites readers to see the natural
world and its animals with the Native American's eyes, and to create their
own stories while looking at the pictures. Songs, legends and questions
geared toward the younger child accompany Doolittle's paintings about "seeing"
with our native peoples' eyes. "Native Americans have magic eyes. They
see the spirits of animals and trees. They see that all creatures are related,
owl and bear, toad and eagle, trout and elk. All have gifts. All are needed."
In The Forest Has Eyes, we can still see
the world in this way if we open our hearts and eyes. |
